As part of our sound therapy training program, in October 2011, we ran a 2-day Sound Transformation workshop at Chalice Well in Glastonbury, UK.
One of the most memorable parts of the weekend involved us setting up and playing two symphonic gongs in the middle of the tower on top of Glastonbury Tor, which is regarded by many as a sacred site, and the heart chakra of the planet.
The sounds were amazing. It was a beautiful sunny day and there were a lot of people on top of the Tor. Many people, including young children and teenagers, loved the sounds and came for sound therapy by standing in front of the gongs while they were played.
Afterwards we went back to our meeting room at Chalice Well and played drums and other rhythm instruments.
During the weekend we also worked with crystal and Tibetan singing bowls and our voices.
Thanks to everyone who participated so actively, especially the sherpas who hauled the heavy gongs and frame up the Tor!
